I told a project team that I work with about my cancer today and the rest of my IT team as well. I also told my granddaughters. Mandy picked up Natalie from school and then invited Sandra and Briar over for tacos. We ate dinner and I asked them to sit down on the barstools. They both did and listened to me tell the Disney version of this story. I think they are still young enough to miss a lot of this. I’ll do everything in my power for them not to see me on my bad days. I did tell them that if I lost my hair I was going to purchase a strip of hair like a mohawk, but instead of it going front to back I would put it on ear to ear. They both told me that they wouldn’t be seen with me if I did that.
